Leyendecker Styled Portraits

Wanted to get some paintings out last night, cause I haven't had much time to do it lately.  It feels good to just spontaneously start painting a couple small things.

These took about 30-40 minutes each.  I've been wanting to do some Leyendecker studies lately because I really love his paintings.  Obviously, these aren't studies from his paintings, just stuff from my head.  I'll do some regular studies from his paintings when I get the time.

It's Too Crowded

Finally finished my Miss West and North piece.  It took a lot longer to do than it should have, but it's hard to work on a piece when you're taking a composition crash course giving you new ideas while you work.  Hopefully this turned out well.

Miss West's Training

I'm a little late on posting this, but I want to post this here because I'm pretty proud of these.
Here, we have some drawings I did for my animal anatomy class during the fall semester.
They feature my character, Miss West, enduring some training with animals for an upcoming challenge that is so ridiculous, that it requires ridiculous training.  I hope you all enjoy!

The Giver

Yesterday, I finished my last day of the Fall Semester at my college.  My last final was for Illustration Class, where I had to create a book cover for a story that is either Science Fiction, Fantasy, or Horror.  I chose 'The Giver' for my assignment, which is a book about this society where the citizens cannot see color, have feelings, or feel pain, with the exception of "the Giver."

Here is the what I turned in:

Ragtag Escapies

Today, we have some prisoners escape to who-knows-where!  I've been infatuated with drawing prisoner uniforms lately, so it would only be a matter of time before I made a finished piece with them.  Prisoners are cool, especially when you mix up their uniforms and such.
This was done for a presentation for an Art Business class, just to show my class the type of work that I do.  Enjoy, please!

Video Game Project Concepts

For my illustration class this semester, I had a project where I chose to create concept designs for characters in a fake video game.  The story I came up with was about a group of rogue fishermen who go out into sea and hunt rare sea monsters for, really, the sake of notoriety.  So, here is what I came up with for the project, which includes both the finished drawings and the sketches leading up to the finished work.
The Captain
The Diver
Skull Face
The Fisherman
The Technician
Sea Spine
Jelly Cloud
Creature Sketches

I'm alive!

Hello all... um... all of no one? o.0
Well, I figured that I should give my blog a little more life and post some work.

Here is a little 2-3 hour digital painting, featuring my character 'Reya', that was full of fussing around and experimentation on my part.

Please enjoy and let me know what you think. :)
